About our client: They started this Bakery caf concept in UAE in early 90s and tirelessly expanded their retail stores all over GCC with an idea of providing five-star quality pastries, desserts and cakes at an affordable price. General Manager is not only responsible for achieving maximum sales and optimum profit, but also for mentoring and creating a cohesive team of high-performing management and staff. This position must have the ability to maintain an open line of communication among staff, while liaising between the Store Operations and Corporate Directive. The GM is responsible for people development, P&Ls, and upholding the highest standard of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness while supporting companys key vision and directive. Responsibilities & Expectations: Meet and exceed sales and profitability objectives; maintain high personal sales level and drive store results through others. Support the recruitment, retention, and development of a diverse pool of talents. Deliver the highest level of customer service to each guest. Drive customer service by coaching and modelling the desired behaviours. Communicate with all departments and all 25+ bakery retail outlets to ensure proper product inventory and quality are maintained- recognizing that every day presents varying needs and adjusting numbers to minimize waste and optimize sales. Oversee staff throughout all shifts, delegating tasks as needed, ensuring responsibilities are met and, when possible, exceeded, facilitating, and organizing new hire training, and coordinating department growth and development programs. Demonstrate management and leadership ability by building effective relationships with team members, vendors, and customers. Maintain high standard of quality control, hygiene, and health & safety. Monitor and meet the performance standard, including but not limited to bakery policies, core values, and standard operating procedure. Skills & Requirements: Professional experience in managing multiple bakery stores as manager or F&B outlets in UAE. Minimum 10 years of experience in the food & beverage industry. Previous experience in barista work, espresso drinks and coffee will be an added advantage. Remarkable communication and interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving aptitude, and ability to multitask. Demonstrated success in Training, Operation Development, and Customer Service Maintain and foster an owner mentality among self and all subordinating managers. Personal familiarity with daily store operation, from opening to closing. Experience in management of high volume stores.
