ROLE DESCRIPTION

Role Purpose:

The Graphic Designer is responsible for designing assets and initiatives related to employee’s communication, training, events material and HC yearly calendar. The role holder is also responsible for supporting online graphic design, flash animation, usage of HTML and online creative requirements.

Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Graphic Design

  • Create concepts based on given briefs, reflecting the brand guidelines, tone of voice and look
  • and feel of the Brand
  • Create and Design key visuals and communication assets
  • Create adaptations of key visuals on various offline and online communication channels
  • Understand and apply bilingual content
  • Align with HC calendar to ensure on time delivery of projects
  • Ensure visual harmony and understand the requirements and the specifications of different communication channels
  • Ensure compliance with Carrefour guidelines
  • Friendly and positive with Colleagues and Teams
  • Confident and willing to work in a dynamic and multicultural working environment

  • Understanding communication objectives and consider them at the designing approach decisions

Design Guidelines

  • Create designs, concepts and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic
  • Take full accountability in adhering to artwork specifications as per suppliers’ guidelines
  • Supervise all advertising and digital campaigns, news related to competitor to keep abreast of any developments to act accordingly
  • Follow all relevant operational procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner

Human Capital Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and seek professional development opportunities to improve leadership and technical skills pertaining to the direct line of work
  • Apply and follow MAFR’s Human Capital corporate policies and relevant procedures and instructions
  • Provide training and feedback to direct reportees when required

Finance Responsibilities

  • Ensure alignment of procedures in accordance with the Delegation of Authority (DOA)
  • Assist in monitoring allocated budget to ensure compliance and highlight possible issues
  • Provide inputs on cost reduction measures

Functional/Technical Competencies

  • Proficiency in InDesign, illustrator and Photoshop, in MAC

Personal Characteristics and Required Background:

Minimum Qualifications/education

  • Degree / Diploma in Graphic Design

Minimum experience

  • 5+ years in Graphic Design
  • 2+ years in a corporate environment

Preferred Languages

  • English (Full professional proficiency – Required)
  • Arabic (Full professional proficiency – A Plus)
