Position Summary The main objective of this position is to develop and manage the retail strategy of the Samsung IT & Mobile (IM) division in the relevant territory.
This will be done by communicating with HQ, retailers, distributors and agency partners to successfully implement the strategy and meet the expectations of the management and improve business results.
Role and Responsibilities
As a key member of the Retail Marketing Team, the candidate is expected to achieve the Retail KPIs of the department by identifying the areas of improvement within the IR (Independent Retail) and OR (Organized Retail) Channels.
In conjunction with the Sales KAMs & distributors, identify and expand any opportunity to improve Samsung’s brand visibility and sales in the IR Channel thus maintaining No. 1 branding and display share across all regions.
The candidate will also be responsible for briefing the agencies on the branding requirements and implementing them, and leading on retail enhancements. Develop compelling retail strategies to drive outstanding consumer in-store experience. Assist in various BTL/Retail activities of IM division across the region. Conceptualizing, negotiation and implementation of display signage, fixtures, etc. Execute monthly/yearly promotions across retail aligning with Key account managers. Manage and develop daily operations of retail marketing function Establish the standards in Visual Merchandising by the use of guidelines, defining working processes & initiating new methods of approach. Management of all agencies involved in any project (example: Creative and Visual Merchandising agencies)
Skills and Qualifications Prepare visual marketing strategies to drive product appeal and brand awareness. Share new ideas and concepts for retail fixtures in line with Samsung guidelines Manage Visual merchandising team, targets and weekly reviews + set monthly KPI’s. Research and build knowledge of key consumer trends & behaviors, retail landscape and competitors for enhanced retail display Provide professional feedbacks/suggestions/plans within sales and retailers. Align with Partner Loyalty Programs across both organized and independent channel. Develop & manage localized campaigns to drive sell-out across online & retail channel. Monitor windows, podiums and any other promotional area ensuring promotional activities throughout the year, in coordination with the marketing team Deployment of POSM & POP materials across GCC retail market. Implement product branding across GCC retail market focusing on key golden locations. Responsible for display & shelf share in the retail market. Conduct weekly market visits across UAE, GCC & report on actions required. Set monthly/quarterly calendar based on plans and targets for flagship launch. Manage monthly/quarterly budgets for marketing activities. ROI driven approach focused on retail execution to maximize sales & profitability. Weekly reporting process streamlining & automation through MIS Tool.
